December 28, 1984 a hard working woman by the name of Jan Waddy gave birth to her only son, full of life and smiles Lance Edward took his first breath. At four years old, along with his family those same young lungs caught wind that his grandmother had been diagnosed with diabetes. Amidst the somber air, during Lances visit – as always, he was able to brighten a dim day with his humor. He considers this the beginning - as life threw curveballs Lance always had one to throw back. Nothing seemed impossible; from those fun-filled years to todays knuckle work grind, unique experience is instrumental in shaping who Lance Edward is. Energetic, witty, observant and an incredible story teller… Just some of the descriptions he has acquired along his journey. Blessing comedy clubs from Tacoma, Washington all the way to Oakland, California staying humble is always the first thing on his list. Lance has worked with the likes of Alex Thomas, Scruncho, Geoff Brown, Ralph Porter Dannon Greene as well as many others. Many have described his stand up as a breath of fresh air seasoned with a dab of old-school comedic flavor. Seven years of explosive experience lays foundation for many more to come - the level of originality that seeps from the stage is unreal. As Lance continues to grow and cultivate, so will his originality. When asked what he would bring to the future of comedy, he simply implied “my problems and everyone else’s.”
